Barcam Electrical Service has a long and prestigious history with the Mackay region. Started in 1957 by Chook and Alice Bartolo, Barcam has always had a family feel. This sentiment is something which has carried the business through to today where they now employ 30 Mackay locals, a number of whom are generational staff. Since opening our doors, we have always provided domestic and small-scale commercial electrical installation and repairs. In 2006 our commercial work grew to a size where we decided to create an umbrella company, Barcam Commercial. Through this avenue we were able to provide specialised commercial and industrial electrical work for our clients. Some of these larger jobs included sports field lighting and shopping complexes as well as construction solutions for commercial and industrial builds. All the while, our domestic division still provided solutions for our regular non-commercial clientele.
