The shop was so small that the carpet had to be rolled out into the street to be cut for his customers. Believing in the core values of customer service 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, Smith quickly expanded opening more stores throughout Brisbane. Carpet Call became a house hold name in the 80’s becoming synonymous with the “call call carpet call“ jingle. Carpet Call has based itself on the belief that providing good customer service with a free in-home measure, colour consult and product display lets customers have the freedom of an informed and educated choice before deciding to purchase, which makes for happy customers. Expanding throughout Australia, these core company values still remain the same today. Flooring can be a difficult and time consuming process we like to think we make it as simple and as easy as possible. Carpet Call can provide for all of your flooring needs, including carpet, timber, laminate, vinyl & floating floors, as well as rugs. At Carpet Call many of our customers select and purchase our products including carpets or rugs in the comfort of their own homes without having the need to visit one of our retail stores. The ideal place for you to select your flooring is in the room where the product is to be installed so it can be matched against home’s decor and viewed in your home’s individual lighting. Our fully trained consultants can also only give you the best advice once they have viewed and have a feel for the area the vinyl, carpet, rug or timber floors are to be installed. The area also needs to be measured and if it is to be installed, then an installation plan is required. We can do that whilst you view the product. The freedom of an informed choice extends to our rug range as well. Customers can take up to 3 rugs home and view them in their own environment. It’s our “Try before you buy“ policy – where the customer can experience these rugs for up to 24 hours in the comfort of their own home. This ensures that the size, colour and design is right for you. If you like it then you can buy it, if not return it in the same condition. There is no obligation to purchase.
